I started making these cakes for fun, and I still do it because I love it.
But I can't keep making them unless each order covers what it actually costs.
I'm also a full-time dental student, so the time I put into each cake matters.
Ingredients
Ingredients for one cake cost me at least $30 before I start baking.
Unique flavors and specialty ingredients can push that number higher.
Time and craft
Every cake takes at least six hours, and plenty take longer. I use that
time to bake, build, decorate, and work on every component until the cake
tastes as good as it looks.
Custom design
Custom designs need a plan before I ever touch the cake. Getting that plan
onto a real cake, with all the details right, takes time and patience. I
love putting the whole vision together and making something that knocks
y'all off your feet.
